The company Acqua Azzurra S.r.l. is requesting a minimum bridge financing of €225,000 (and a maximum of €300,000) for the construction of an agrivoltaic system with a capacity of 496 kWp located at the company's headquarters in Pachino (SR). This project has been approved in the "Parco Agrisolare" call for proposals of the PNRR.
The Project is divided into two campaigns, both with a Minimum Target of €225,000 and a Maximum Target of €300,000: both have a French Amortization, the first one with a duration of 24 months and an Annual Base Interest Rate of 7.5%; the second one has a duration of 36 months and an Annual Base Interest Rate of 7.75%.
By implementing the system, a significant energy saving will be achieved for the facility through the use of renewable energy sources. Currently, a portion of the electricity production in the plant still comes from fossil fuels, and the agrivoltaic system, in addition to enabling the company's normal activities - fish fry farming - is estimated to produce 753,000 kWh of green energy for the next 20 years.
The company benefits from the "Parco Agrisolare" grant, implemented within the framework of the PNRR - Next Generation EU, with a non-repayable grant covering 50% of the expenses incurred, amounting to approximately € 740.000.
The project also pays off with the energy produced by the photovoltaic system, which will be self-consumed on-site by the company, allowing for significant energy and economic savings.
The "Agrisolar Park" measure of the PNRR aims to support investments for the implementation of photovoltaic solar power plants in the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors, excluding land consumption.
In particular, the measure provides for the selection and financing of interventions consisting of the purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of buildings instrumental to the activity of beneficiary companies. Together with this activity, one or more complementary interventions can be carried out to redevelop the buildings in order to improve the energy efficiency of the structures, such as the removal and disposal of asbestos from the roofs, the implementation of thermal insulation for the roofs, and the implementation of a ventilation system.
The three targets consist of identifying beneficiary projects with a total value of the financial resources allocated to the investment equal to 30% in 2022, 50% in 2023, and 100% in 2024. Lastly, through the measure, the installation of at least 375 MW of new photovoltaic solar plants must be achieved.
The project proposed by Acqua Azzurra S.r.l. has been included in the ranking for obtaining non-repayable financing (see DOCUMENTS section) for a total amount of €366,745.
Ener2Crowd provides a standardized parameter called "EnerScore" that is assigned to every single investment proposal. This parameter defines a GLOBAL RATING that sums up objectively, in a complete and understandable way all the data that characterize the project.[...] (Sign up now to discover more).
In recent months, the global socio-economic context is leading to a sharp increase in inflation, i.e. the prolonged increase in the average level of prices of goods and services. For this reason, the ECB foresees an increase in rates on mortgages and loans with the aim of preserving the purchasing power of consumers.
In this situation, Ener2crowd has also chosen to insert the so-called "Correction factor" of the interest rate (Fc), with the aim of adjusting the interest rates (and therefore rates of return for investors), to the variability of the general mortgage situation.

Acqua Azzurra S.r.l. was established in 1988 and started operating in 1991.
After careful study of the Italian coasts, the choice to build the fish farming plant in Pachino, in the province of Syracuse, was motivated by the quality of the crystal-clear waters and the rich plankton-rich seabed, far away from industrial sites and in that stretch of sea where the currents of the Sicilian Channel and the Ionian Sea meet.
The fish farming plant is located near the island of Correnti and close to the island of Capopassero, known for its tuna fishery and numerous protected areas. The choice of the site guarantees the breeding of fish in optimal conditions, for health and quality compared to the habitat of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Adriatic Sea.
Environmental sustainability is closely linked to Acqua Azzurra's business success. An organizational challenge that the company has always faced, with the same commitment to the safeguarding of the integrity and hygiene of its product, paying particular attention to the use and research of highly bio-degradable materials and the exploitation of renewable energy sources.
Company established on October 21, 1988, since September 1992 it has been engaged in aquaculture activities consisting of breeding, production, processing (including industrial), preservation, and commercialization of fishery products in general. The operational headquarters of the company is located in Pachino (SR), Contrada Vulpiglia snc; since December 2020, the registered office, previously located in the Province of Frosinone, has also been transferred here. ACQUA AZZURRA SRL is registered in the special section of the Register of Companies of Southeast Sicily as an AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISE.
The company's administrator is Alessandro Puglisi Cosentino, with no previous negative records.
The adopted analysis methodology involves calculating a synthetic risk indicator called Easyscore Integrato, obtained through a proprietary algorithm that integrates and synthesizes three partial scores (Easyscore Expert, CeBi Score 4, and CR Score). The Easyscore Integrato places the company - on a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 corresponds to the highest security and 10 to the highest risk - in risk class 4, with a score of 63/100 corresponding to the judgment "Solvibilità" (Solvency).
• Easyscore Expert: evaluates the financial solvency and commercial reliability of the company through the calculation of the Cribis d&b Rating (Failure score, Delinquency score, Paydex Cribis d&b, negative events). Acqua Azzurra S.r.l. has been assigned a Cribis Rating equal to "2" with a cessation risk "Below average".
• CeBi Score 4: CeBi calculations provide the calculation of PD – Probability Default through a certified algorithm for the banking world, within the scope of scoring models and internal rating systems (Internal Rating Based) used by Italian Credit Institutions. The scores evaluate the economic and financial solidity of the company, placed in its current and prospective economic reference system. The analysis of the balance sheet as of December 31, 2022, in terms of insolvency risk, classifies the company in class V, corresponding to a Vulnerability situation with a PD of 2.10%. This class includes 20.69% of companies belonging to the AQUACULTURE sector.
• CR Score: provides a synthetic judgment on the use of credit lines granted by the banking system, reported within the Central Credit Register of the Bank of Italy. This value is reserved as it is not a public data, and it was not possible to calculate it as the company does not have active financing with financial institutions.
The preceding analyses, summarized in the Easyscore Integrato, place Acqua Azzurra S.r.l. in a "Solvibilità" area with a score of 63/100.
CONCLUSIONS
From the last analysis carried out last year, it was possible to identify an improvement in all the scores considered. In the previous campaign, the company presented vulnerabilities following the calamitous event recorded in 2019, which had put the company in a difficult and burdensome economic and financial situation - as reported in the analysis conducted for the previous operation presented by the company on the Platform.
With 2022, the situation improves in all aspects and sections analyzed, with the developed figures derived from the new Balance Sheet, combined with an absence of debt towards financial institutions and the conclusion of the bullet campaign for Ener2Crowd crowd investors, it was possible to obtain a significantly improved Enerscore, which allowed for a considerable jump, positioning Acqua Azzurra S.r.l. from class "B" to class "A".

Agrivoltaics is the integration of photovoltaic systems with agricultural activities, allowing the cultivation of plants or the raising of animals under solar panels. Its benefits include the production of renewable energy, the optimization of agricultural space, the reduction of water evaporation, the protection of crops from weather conditions, and in some cases, the diversification of income sources for farmers who lease the land. In order to achieve the European targets set for 2030 in the solar sector, it will be necessary to install 52 GW of systems in Italy, +27 GW compared to the installed capacity in 2022 (25 GW) (1). Agrivoltaics is one of the best technologies in the field of photovoltaics, offering various benefits, not exclusively related to energy. Supporting this type of innovation is essential to achieve sustainable development goals and bring numerous benefits.
It is estimated that the photovoltaic system will have a total annual production of 753.441 kWh per year, which is equivalent to:
Saving 323.980 kg of CO2 in the atmosphere every year
Planting 32.398 trees, enough to cover an area of 165 soccer fields
Avoiding the emissions of exhaust gases from 227 cars every year
These are the effects and benefits that can also be generated thanks to your contribution!
